Landscapes made one appearance in 2020... In quite a large scale

Each panel was 30" x 40," and I began to experiment with physically layering paper to get more depth

I began my first three dimensional into landscape, working in more layers... based on my shift in perspective when I began flight training

Both of these culminated into one project
                   at the end of 2022...

What did this work do for me?

  • Exploration of a new medium, introduction of new techniques​

  • Commitment to exploring the limits of the material, did not apply any ink besides a wood wash stain

  • Reimagination of the principles and techniques of traditional Chinese ink paintings

  • Test of patience and meticulous detail

Measurements are 48" x 24," per panel not including the frame
The frames are squares 24"
